Sophomore Nicholas Bjerke said, "This was an important win for the team, and for me especially. I am really proud of the guys and the freshmen are really stepping up and coming through in winning those important singles and doubles matches."

With a young team the Lions are showing they have what it takes to compete. All three singles wins came from underclassmen who also earned doubles wins earlier for the Lions. In hot conditions, the Lions stayed strong for a win over a ranked team and set themselves up to have good momentum heading into the final part of their season. Next up the Lions will face UC Irvine on April 7th at 1:00 p.m.
