LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- With just a month left in the 2010 college men's water polo season, four of the Lions' remaining six games will come against the foes from the Western Water Polo Association. The Lions got the stretch run started off in a big way with a 3-0 weekend, all against the WWPA.
The Lions knocked off No. 16 Pomona-Pitzer, 8-6, on Oct. 14, then won a doubleheader on Saturday, Oct. 16, defeating Air Force, 9-3, and Chapman, 21-9.
LMU will start their key run to end the season with rival and current No. 9 UC San Diego in La Jolla, Calif., on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 2 p.m. The two rivals have decided the last 10 WWPA Championships.
