v Los Angeles, CA - The 12th-ranked Loyola Marymount men's water polo team jumped to a 7-1 lead in the first half and cruised to an impressive 11-4 win over No. 16 Air Force in game one of a tripleheader and then posted a program-tying 21-3 win over Chapman in game three in Western Water Polo Association action Saturday morning at the Burns Recreation and Aquatics Center. Air Force defeated Chapman 19-5 in the middle game.

With the sweep, LMU improves to 10-14 on the season, while Air Force goes to 11-13 and Chapman falls to 7-16.

LMU got a big lift from junior goalie John Prunckle, who made is first ever consecutive start. He started just his second game of the season last week in the win over UCSD. He made six first half saves and freshman Andy Stevens played the second half and made five saves as the Lions held an opponent to four goals for the second straight game.

Mark Milovic led the Lions offensively with three goals each. Tim Heafner returned the line-up and had a pair of goals. Andrew Aki and Tibor Forai also scored a pair. Four different players scored for Air Force.

In the Lions final game , 11 different players scored as they equalled a program best 21 goals. They earned a 21-3 win over Santa Clara to start the 2002 season.

The Lions will play Long Beach State on Thursday, Nov. 8 in the final match of the regular season. The game is set for 3 p.m. in Long Beach.
