Davis, CA (April 9) - Thanks to a 10-3 win over 16th-ranked Indiana in the third game of the 2006 Davis Shootout, the fourth-ranked Loyola Marymount women's water polo team earned their 12th straight victory on Saturday morning at the Schaal Aquatics Center.

The Lions improve to 21-3 on the season, their sixth straight 20-win campaign. The victory also sets a showdown in the Davis Shootout final contest against host and 14th-ranked UC Davis. It will feature the top-two programs in the Western Water Polo Association as the teams continue to play for seeding in the 2006 WWPA tournament.

Against the Hoosiers, the Lions saw the game tied at 1-1 after the first frame. However, a five-goal second frame opened the game in favor of the Lions. In the period, both Rosanna Tomiuk and Nicole Hughes scored two games a piece. Both finished the game with the hat-trick.

With LMU holding a 7-3 lead at the break, senior goalie Katie Murray held Indiana scoreless in the final period while Meghan Pardi scored two goals and Katie Hicks added another for the final margin.

LMU will play UC Davis at 5:30 in the final game of the Shootout.
