Los Angeles, Calif. - Loyola Marymount men's tennis will play an important road match Wednesday when the Lions (9-10) travel to face UC Riverside (6-11) at 1:30 p.m. The dual match marks the final test before the West Coast Conference Championship begins on Friday, April 22.
The Lions will battle UCR in a match that could play into positioning for the WCC Championship. LMU shares several common opponents with UCR on the 2005 season, including UC San Diego, Hartford, Boston University, Northern Arizona, and WCC opponent Gonzaga.
LMU enters Wednesday's contest on a three-match winning streak and has not dropped a set in singles play in its last two matches.
The Lions and the Highlanders are slated to begin the match at 1:30 p.m. in Riverside.
