Los Angeles, CA (March 26) - Seven games highlighted the final day of the 2004 LMU Invitational hosted by seventh-ranked Loyola Marymount University women's water polo on Saturday, March 27 at the Burns Recreation and Aquatics Center.
Game 4 - #7 LMU 13, CS San Bernardino 5
The seventh-ranked Lions jumped to a 9-3 lead at the half and coasted to a 13-5 win over Cal State San Bernardino in game four of the 2004 LMU Invitational. The Lions (15-4) had another five-goal performance, this time by senior Teresa Guidi who had two goals in the first and three in the fourth as they improve to 5-0 in the Western Water Polo Association. Sophomore Stacia Peterson added three goals as she has eight through two games in the Invitational. Erin Gallagher and Sarah Reneker had two goals each for the Coyotes (18-10).
Game 5 - #20 CS Northridge 5, #14 UC San Diego 4
Chari Christopher scored with 2:57 remaining in the fourth period for 20th-ranked Cal State Northridge to lift the Matadors to a 5-4 win over 14th-ranked UC San Diego. The goal gave the Matadors a 5-3 lead as it proved to be the game winner. The Tritons would score a goal from Tobi Lyman on a rare 6-on-4 advantage with 1:37 remaining to cut the lead to one, 5-4. The Tritons defense would hold on the next two possessions to give them one last chance at the win with less than 27 seconds left. However, Northridge created a steal with nine seconds remaining to earn the win.

Game 6 - Claremont 5, Redlands 4
Claremont's (9-4) Annie Richardson scored with 17 seconds remaining in the game to give the Athenas a 5-4 win over Redlands (4-13) in game six of the LMU Invitational. Richardson, who tallied three goals to lead all scorers, broke a 4-4 tie that was set-up by Redland's Natalie Hower, who tied the game with 1:55 remaining in the contest. Hower had two goals for the Bulldgos.

Game 7 - LMU 12, CS Bakersfield 4
Nine different Lions scored to lift LMU (16-4) to a 12-4 victory over Cal State Bakersfield (10-10) in game seven of the LMU Invitational. The Lions jumped out to a 5-2 lead at the break thanks to two first half scores by sophomore Stacia Peterson. The Lions would then outscore Bakersfield, who was making their first appearance in the Invitational, 7-2 in the second half. Freshman Sarah Hamilton would score twice in the second half for the Lions.

Game 8 - UC San Diego 9, CS San Bernardino 8
With over 10 saves, goalie Stephanie Lombardo helped her team defeat the CS San Bernardino Coyotes today in double overtime. Junior Sarah Reneker scored three goals for her Coyotes, but that was not enough to hold back the Tritons. Sarah Bantilan-Smith led the Tritons with three goals, but Country Clevenger put it away for the Triton in double overtime with her goal.

Game 9 - CS Northridge 6, Claremont 3
Claremont's Annie Richardson carried the Athenas with the team's three goals of the game. The Matadors scored two in the first period, one of which came from a ejection. Pam Barba had the only two goals in the second half and helped her team defeat the Athenas at the LMU Invitational.

Game 10 - CS Bakersfield 11, Redlands 8
An intense defense battle took place between these two teams. Wile Catlin O'Dell and the Bulldogs fought hard, the CS Bakersfield roadrunners had precise shooting. Six of the team's players were able to score in today's game, allowing them to beat the Bulldogs by two.
