Los Angeles, Calif. -- Entering the LMU cross country program after taking two seasons off, junior Alexis Gernhardt is helping the Lions compete for a WCC championship this weekend in Belmont, Calif.

Gernhardt experienced a successful high school cross country and track career at Central Catholic High School in Lafayette, Ind., before coming to LMU.
