Los Angeles, CA -- As the final round of the Western Water Polo Association wrapped up, the association announced the 2001 All-Conference team and Coach of the Year Sunday Afternoon at LMU's Burns Recreation Center Pool. LMU's goalie Kevin Paulsen was named the WWPA's Most Valuable Player, as LMU's head coach, John Loughran was awarded the 2001 Coach of the Year award.

Also topping the list for the Lions was Kevin Witt and Kyle Witt, who were both selected to the First-Team All-WWPA. Tamas Szego was given Honorable Mention by the WWPA for his efforts on the Lions' team.

The following is a breakdown of the 2001 All-WWPA teams:
