Devon Courtney enters her fourth season with the Lions...will serve as a team captain in 2002...will anchor the LMU defense which gave up only 4.5 goals per game last season...considered one of the top goalies in the country.

At LMU-2001-Junior

Earned first team All-WWPA...played in all 30 games for the Lions, defending the cage...collected 166 saves, allowing 107 goals...increased her own record of saves to 630...scored two goals from six attempts...had 18 steals on the season.

2000-Sophomore

In goal for all but one-half of LMU?s 34 games...made 270 saves to add to her own record...assisted on 22 goals and made 42 steals, third best on team.

1999-Freshman

Appeared in all 31 games...posted 194 saves ...collected two assists while grabbing 29 steals.

High School

A 1998 graduate of Soquel High School...lettered four years in softball, two years in water polo and one year in swimming...twice named to all-city team in water polo, and three times in softball...a three-time softball team captain...served as water polo team captain as a senior.

Devon Linn Courtney was born on Dec. 23, 1980 in Long Beach, CA...she is the daughter of Gil and Robin Courtney...has two brothers, Ryan and Erin...hobbies include going to the beach and being a junior lifeguard...a communication studies major.
