Biography

BRIEFLY: Rodney Brown finished his first season at LMU in 2025-26 after transferring from Virginia Tech… Named to the All-WCC Honorable Mention Team in 2026.

2025-26 (LMU)
• Played in 31 of 32 games, making 30 starts… Led the team with 1,000 minutes played and ranked seventh in the West Coast Conference with 32.3 minutes per game… Finished second on the team and 11th in the WCC with 14.0 points per game… Led the conference in total three pointers made with 87, three pointers per game at 2.81, and three point percentage after shooting 38.2 percent (87-for-228 from three)… His 355 total field goal attempts rank 13th in the conference… Scored 20 or more points in four games and hit double-digit scoring 26 times… Scored a career-high 28 points on 8-for-13 from three in the win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff (11/8/25)… Recorded back-to-back 20-plus point games against Morgan State (12/23/25) and Saint Mary’s (12/28/25)… Dished out a career-high four assists in the conference game against Oregon State (1/28/25)… Grabbed a career-high seven rebounds in the conference game at Oregon State (1/14/25)… Named to the All-WCC Honorable Mention Team.

2024-25 (Virginia Tech)
• Appeared in 18 games, totaling 74 points, 14 3-pointers, 37 rebounds and 32 assists
• Scored 13 points and grabbed six rebounds against North Carolina A&T (Dec. 12)
• Dropped in 11 points with three 3-pointers and snagged four rebounds against Navy (Dec. 15)
• Delivered eight points on 2 for 3 shooting from 3-point land at No. 4 Duke (Dec. 31)
• Recorded 10 points, going 2 for 2 from three at Georgia Tech (Jan. 22)

2023-24 (Cal)
• One of four Golden Bears to play all 32 games
• Averaged 3.5 points and 1.1 rebounds in 14.1 minutes per game off the bench as a freshman
• Shot 39.7% (23 of 58) from 3-point range & 40.6% (39 of 96) from the floor
• Three double-figure scoring efforts, all in Pac-12 road games at USC (13), Arizona (12) & Washington State (12)
• Knocked down multiple 3-pointers in eight games, including three twice vs. San Diego State (Nov. 25) & at USC (Jan. 3)
• Made 8-of-14 3-pointers in a four-game span between Jan. 3-13
• Season-high four assists along with 12 points scored at Washington State (Feb. 15)
• Signed with Cal during the 2023 early signing period (Nov. 9, 2022) and remained committed following a coaching change in March 2023

• Graduated from Rancho Christian School (Temecula, California) in spring 2023
• Led Rancho Christian to the 2023 CIF Southern Section Division 2A championship as a senior; scored 16 points in the title game
