Head coach Aaron Mansfield added Kylin Munoz as the team's assistant coach and recruting coordinator in April 2021.
Munoz comes to LMU from Utah Valley University, where she was an associate coach for the last two years. While at UVU, Munoz served as the recruiting coordinator and recruited Utah's 2020 Gatorade Player of the Year.
Prior to serving as the associate coach, Munoz served as the program's assistant coach from 2018-19, and before that was the program's Director of Volleyball Operations in 2017.
Munoz coached seven all-conference athletes, which includes the 2018 WAC Freshman of the Year. She also led the Wolverines to their first national post-season appearance in program history in 2018, when the team went to the National Invitational Volleyball Championship.
A leader on and off of the court, Munoz also helped the Wolverines to earning the AVCA Team Academic Award in 2018 and 2019, while she was a member of UVU's 2020 Apple Training Institute Team and oversaw team academics.
Before Munoz started coaching at UVU, the Wolverines were last in the conference in service aces. After her dedication to refining and emphasizing serve and pass, UVU led the WAC in aces per set in 2020. Not only did Munoz take the Wolverines to their first postseason appearance, but she also led the team to its highest RPI in school history in 2018.
Prior to her career in coaching, Munoz was a four-year letter winner for the Washington Huskies and a four-time PAC-12 All-Academic honoree. She also led the team to four NCAA Appearances, including one Final Four Appearance.
After graduating from the University of Washington, Munoz spent time with the Women's U.S. National Team, and played professionally overseas in Hamburg, Germany from 2014-15.
"We are thrilled to announce the addition of Kylin to our program," said head coach Aaron Mansfield. "Through her leadership as the recruiting coordinator and player development at UVU, she helped their program to its first NCAA tournament appearance and a conference championship. Even though she has had early success in her coaching career, what stuck out to me the most in her interview process, was her drive and curiosity to constant and continued growth as a coach."
