Kevin Pineda enters his third year on the LMU women’s soccer staff in 2021. He began as the Director of Operations in fall 2019 before taking on Volunteer Assistant Coaching duties.
Prior to the 2020 season, Pineda was promoted from Volunteer Assistant Coach to Assistant Coach, the position he still currently holds.
Pineda contributes to all aspects of the program, including recruiting, coaching, scouting, video analysis, marketing and branding, and curriculum development.
Pineda is also the Head Coach for Beach FC Girls 2004 and 2005 academy teams.
Pineda joined LMU from a role as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Harbor College Women’s Soccer program from 2018-19. He was involved with the planning and design of in-season and preseason training sessions, implementing curriculum, recruiting, and scheduling, among other responsibilities.
Previously, Pineda coached at Torrance High School from 2014-2017, coaching JV and Varsity, with many student athletes moving on from Torrance HS to go onto Division I programs.
Pineda holds a national "B" coaching license from the USSF.
Currently, Pineda is also completing his Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from LMU.
