Brad Johnson coaching career started in 2008 serving as the junior varsity head coach, and assistant varsity coach, at Big Bear High School boys basketball team. He spent seven years with the boys' program before switching over to the girls' basketball program in 2015.
In 2016, Johnson took over the girls' basketball program and became the head coach for the varsity team. Johnson is coming to LMU from Aliso Niguel High School in Orange County. Johnson was the head basketball coach at Aliso Niguel for the past three seasons. He led the team to an overall 48-34 record and one South Coast League title.
