Appeared in six games all as a sub and had five at-bats on the year…

2019 - JUNIOR 
Appeared in 28 games, making seven starts…batted .225 with nine hits, one run and two RBI...led the team with 21 games appeared in as a sub….went 1x2 at UCLA on 2/19… went 1x1 with two RBI at CSU Bakersfield on 5/13...battled for an eight pitch at bat and drew a single that ultimately scored in the T10 against Saint Mary's that led LMU to WCC Championship Tournament win on 5/25...

2018 - SOPHOMORE
Appeared in 20 games, making three starts during his sophomore season...reached in 4 of his first 7 plate appearances this year (1B, 2 BB, HBP)...

2017 - FRESHMAN 
Appeared in five games off the bench during his freshman season... hit .400 with one run scored... pinch-hit single vs. Pacific on 4/2... made collegiate debut on 2/24 vs. WSU and got first hit on 2/25 vs. Cougars...

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2016 graduate of La Jolla Country Day School in La Jolla, Calif... prepped under head coach John Edman... a four-year varsity letter winner... captained his squad as a senior... Union Tribune All-Academic selection...

Ryan Kawano was born in San Diego, Calif... son of Nancy and Jay Kawano... has one brother, Brandon... chose LMU because of the academics, community and baseball program... a finance major.
