BRIEFLY... Steven Haney Jr. enters his fourth season of college basketball and third playing at LMU... has earned back-to-back First-Team WCC All-Academic honors, earning it in 2015-16 and again in 2016-17... was an NABC Allstate Good Works nominee.

HIGHLIGHTS AT LMU...
IN 2017-18 • SENIOR... Played in 24 games as a senior, making 22 starts... Averaged a career-best 12.9 points per game... Shot 41.3 percent from three, the 12th best single season in program history and made 66 threes, moving him to 14th on the all-time single season program list... His 37.2 career percentage from long range moves him to 10th all-time at the conclusion of his career... Moved to third all-time with 201 made threes, which is the most among any three-year player... Eclipsed the 200 made three mark with six from long range in the PCH Cup win over Pepperdine (2/18/18) where he finished with a career-high 31 points and tied the program record with a perfect 9-for-9 shooting from the free throw line... Knocked down five threes in conference games against Gonzaga (1/6/18) and BYU (1/18/18)... Grabbed seven rebounds and tied his career-high with four assists against San Diego (1/27/18)... Set a career-high 3 steals in the win over BYU (2/1/18).

IN 2016-17... JUNIOR... His 59 three-pointers in 2016-17 is ranked 18th all-time in LMU history for a single season, ranking 14th in attempts with 163... his 132 three-pointers made is 11th all-time for a career at LMU... his 371 career attempts is 10th... he also ranks 20th all-time with a career three-point shooting percentage of .356... Finished regular season playing in all 29 games, earning 24 starts... he averaged 9.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.03 assists... hit 59-of-163 three-pointers on the season, including seven against Pepperdine (2/18/17) to equal a career-high... ranks eighth in the WCC with 2.0 three-pointers per game... had 24 points on 9-for-18 shooting in win over Morgan State to end non-conference play (12/26/16)... had a season-best 25 points, hitting 9-for-14 from the field and 7-for-12 from three in win over Pepperdine... added 18 in win over USF (2/23/17) and 18 in win at Portland, hitting 7-for-9 from the field and 4-for-5 from three (1/14/17).

IN 2015-16 SOPHOMORE... played all 31 games for the Lions as a sophomore, ranking third on the team with 10.7 points per game, going 73-for-208 from three... he averaged 27.7 minutes per game and added 20 steals, 34 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game... ranked 7th all-time in LMU history in three-pointers made for a season and fifth in attempts with 208... averaged 15.5 points per game in the two WCC tournament contests, leading the Lions with 19 points against Saint Mary's (3/5/16)... hit three three-pointers in each WCC tournament game... led the Lions with 25 points in overtime win against USF (2/20/16), going 8-for-8 from the free throw line... added 18 points against BYU (1/21/16) and 17 against Santa Clara (2/18/16)... caught fire at the end of non-conference, going 10-for-18 from three the final two games heading into WCC play... went for a career-best 26 points in win at CSUF (12/12/15), hitting 7-for-12 from the three-point line, the most since Jeff Fryer set the record in the 1990 NCAA tournament... he then went for 21 points on 7-for-11 shooting, hitting 3-for-5 from three against Jacksonville St. (12/18/15)... averaged 12.9 ppg in non-conference...

AT UCF... played in 24 of the 31 games as a true freshman... averaged 4.8 minutes and 1.5 points per game... shot 37 percent from three-point line... 10 of his 12 field goals were from three.

BEFORE COLLEGE... Haney, who is a cousin to Magic Johnson, was named second-team Florida Class 7A All-State after averaging 16.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 steals per contest for St. Thomas Aquinas. He was selected to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel All-Broward first-team and played in the USA vs. Florida Hardwood Showcase All-Star game... As a junior, led Raiders to a 21-5 record while averaging 15.5 points and 4.0 rebounds per contest. He was named First-Team SourceHoops Class 7A All-State and First-Team FACA Class 7A All-State. He was also a Sun-Sentinel All-Broward first-team selection and a Miami Herald All-Broward County second-team selection... With Haney as the centerpiece, the Raiders (21-5) rode a resurgence to the Class 7A regional semifinals, where they pushed eventual state champion Blanche Ely to the limit before falling 56-52... Haney, who moved from Lansing, Mich., prior to his junior year of high school, picked up some valuable international playing experience in April of 2012 when he helped the United States U-18 team beat France 87-81 and finish seventh in the Albert Schweitzer Tournament in Germany... attended and played basketball at East Lansing High School (2009-10) and Lansing Eastern High School (2010-11) before moving to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.

PERSONAL...Steven Haney Jr., was born on May 29, 1995 in San Diego, CA and was raised in Lansing, MI... he is the son of Tanya and Steven Haney, Sr... dad played basketball at LMU before transferring to San Jose St... has a brother and a sister... he graduated in summer and is enrolled in the graduate school at LMU.
