Biography
Briefly: Myron “MJ” Amey, Jr. played two seasons at LMU from 2024-26 after transferring ahead of the 2024-25 from San Jose State where he was named All-Mountain West Honorable Mention (2023-24), All-Mountain West Media Honorable Mention (2023-24), Hoops HD All-Conference Team (2023-24), Mountain West Freshman of the Week (1/10/22), and Paradise Jam All-Tournament Team (2023)… In his final season at LMU, Amey was named to the All-WCC Honorable Mention team and WCC All-Academic Honorable Mention Team in 2026.
AT LMU
2025-26 – REDSHIRT SENIOR

2024-25 – REDSHIRT JUNIOR
Played in all 32 games… Started the first four games of the season before leading the Lions as the top sixth scoring sixth man… Ranked 5
th on LMU and 48
th in the West Coast Conference with 8.6 points per game… Averaged 20.4 minutes per game, one of five players on LMU with 20 or more points per game… Second on the team in free throw percentage at 82.1 percent on 46-for-56 from the line… Led the team and ranked 12
th in the WCC with 40 steals, averaging 1.3 steals per game… Grabbed 87 rebounds and dished out 21 assists… Scored in double-digits in 13 games, including a 24 point performance on 7-for-12 shooting and five made threes in a road win at Pacific (1/23/25)… Opened the season with 20 points and four steals against LIFE Pacific (11/4/24).. HIGH SCHOOL:
- Graduated from Vacaville High School
- Was an all-league selection in both his junior and senior seasons in both basketball and football
- Averaged 27 points, five assists, 4.5 rebounds and 1.6 steals
- Spent one season at Scotland Prep (Pa.) where he averaged 20.3 points in three games with a single-game best of 26 points.
