Briefly: Dennis will transfer from West Virginia University, and serve his required redshirt season... The Chino Hills native averaged 25 points, eight rebounds, six assists and five steals per game at Grover Cleveland High School... As a true freshman, he saw instant playing time at West Virginia, and finished averaging 3.7 points per game for the Mountaineers...A combo guard that was highly recruited coming out of high school... Has the size and strength to be a solid big guard and yet the mentality and ball handling skills to play some point guard...

We'll see how he improves and where he will surface after his redshirt year. But one thing is for sure, he is a hard working young man who wants to be a successful player. 1999-2000 at West Virginia: Heavily recruited out of high school, Dennis chose West Virginia and was immediately put to use as a true freshman for the Mountaineers... Finished his first season with 3.7 point per game, 1.2 assists and finished averaging 11.4 minutes per game...In 94-80 loss to Duquesne, Dennis played 17 minutes and pitched in nine points (career high) coming off the bench. He finished the game with two assists and a steal...The following game on Dec. 4 against McNeese State, a 93-85 win, Dennis earned the start and played 24 minutes... He finished with seven points, two assists and three rebounds... In a 100-54 win over Bowling Green on Dec. 18, Dennis pitched in 15 minutes and scored eight points. He added four assists... In a 69-64 win over Georgetown on Jan. 26, Dennis played 16 minutes and chipped in six points and two assists... In a four-game stretch in the heart of the Big East play, Dennis averaged 18 minutes in games against Seton Hall, Pittsburgh, Villanova and Boston College...Against BC, he played 25 minutes, scored eight points, two assists and a steal...Was a versatile newcomer who could play either guard position...recruited to WVU for great defensive hands, solid athlete with good perimeter shooting ability.

High School: A versatile player from Grover Cleveland High School, graduated in May of 1999... Averaged 25 points for coach Adam Levitt at Cleveland... Well rounded with a per game average of eight rebounds, six assists and five steals...Shot .420 from the three-point line his senior season, hitting 55 three-pointers...hit 86 percent from the foul line...helped lead team to a 21-5 record and West Valley title his final season...named to All-Los Angeles city selection first team senior and junior years...nominated for Southern California player of the year honors and McDonald's All-American honors...earned MVP awards at West Coach All Star (1998), Beverly Hills Invitational (1997) and Five Star (1997) camps...also played at Bellarmine-Jefferson High School for coach Eli Essa in Burbank...played on Top Prospects and Southern California all-star teams with fellow transfer Keith Kincade

Personal: Son of Ken Dennis and Lauren West... one of three children... born September 10, 1980... will study management.
