BRIEFLY… Jalin Anderson completed his third season at LMU in 2022-23… Named to the WCC All-Freshman team in 2020-21.
IN 2022-23 • JUNIOR… Played in all 31 games for the first time in his career, making 18 starts and averaging 25.5 minutes per game… Scored a career-high 9.8 points per game and surpassed 300 points in a season for the first time in his career… Scored 20 points twice, both on the road, at Pacific (12/31/22) and at Colorado State (11/30/22)… Made five three pointers and finished with 19 points at BYU (2/2/23)… Went 6-for-7 from the field for 15 points in LMU’s win at Portland (12/29/22)… Season-high eight assists and career-high seven rebounds in the win over Life Pacific (11/7/22)... Second on the team with 25 steals (0.8 spg) and 68 assists (2.2 apg).
IN 2021-22 • SOPHOMORE… Played in 18 games, including all 17 in conference play and the WCC Tournament, after a toe injury on opening night sidelined him for the remainder of the non-conference portion of the schedule… Started three games, all in conference play… Averaged 8.4 points per game and scored in double-digits in six games… Scored 12 points in his lone non-conference game against eventual NCAA Tournament team Chattanooga (11/9/21)…
IN 2020-21 • FRESHMAN… Played in 19 of 20 games as a true freshman, making 17 starts on the year… Second on the team with 3.4 steals per game… No freshman played more minutes in the WCC this season than Jalin Anderson’s 31.2 minutes per game, which ranked 13th overall in conference play and led all freshman… Anderson finished ninth in the league with 3.53 assists per game and eighth in assist to turnover ratio at 1.48... Scored in double-digits in seven games… Hit the game-winning jumper in his first collegiate game to defeat Southern Utah (11/25/21)… Recorded a nine and nine game against Santa Clara (1/23/21) and an 11 and nine games against Pacific (2/13/21)… Scored a career-high 16 points in LMU’s PCH Cup win at Pepperdine (2/25/21)… Played all 40 minutes against eventual NCAA Tournament team BYU (2/20/21)… Scored 10 points on 3-for-4 shooting in his first WCC Tournament game to help defeat San Francisco (3/5/21)… Recorded 14 games of 30 or more minutes… Named to the WCC’s All-Freshman team.
BEFORE LMU… Anderson graduated from Dream City Christian High School after previously attending Chandler High School (2016-17) and AZ Compress Prep (2017-19)… Played for coaches Ed Gibson and Ray Weathers.
PERSONAL… Anderson was born in Jackson, Tennessee… Parents are Patricia and Brady Anderson… Has one sister, Kelsea Bradford, and one brother, Brandon Anderson… Plans to major in psychology.
