IN 2012-13 • JUNIOR... played and started every game for the Lions until suffering a groin injury that ended his season... finished playing/starting 25 games... averaged 10.6 points and 6.0 rebounds... hit 37 three-pointers before suffering the injury against Pepperdine (2/14/13)... had 15 games with 10 or more points, including a pair of double-double games with 16 points and 11 rebounds against Long Beach St. (11/29/12) and 17 points and 11 rebounds against San Diego (2/4/13).
IN 2011-12 • SOPHOMORE... Finished season averaging 4.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.7 assists per contest... added 16 steals... played 41 minutes with eight points, seven rebounds and three assists in overtime win at Idaho State (11/23/11)... made 14 starts on the year... went for 10 points and six rebounds in win over Northern Arizona (11/26/11)...had seven points off the bench in 90-88 comeback win over San Francisco (2/4/12)... did not play in Lions' final four games of the season due to wrist surgery... played in 30 games and earned 14 starts.
IN 2010-11 • FRESHMAN... played in 28 games, starting 13 as a true freshman... finished averaging 5.5 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 0.9 assists on the season... in conference play, ranked 12th hitting 35.7 percent from long range... played 13 minutes in first college game, scoring four points with two rebounds and an assist against Morgan State (11/12/10)... earned first career start against Gonzaga (1/15/11), playing 27 minutes with nine points and a steal... earned third straight start and had a break-out game with 15 points and 10 rebounds for his first career double-double, added a pair of assists, hitting 6-for-12 from the field against San Francisco (1/27/11)... held the WCC's leading scorer and nation's top three-pointer shooter, SCU's (2/24/11) Kevin Foster, to just 11 points on 4-for-18 shooting, 1-for-11 from the three-point line while forcing him into 10 turnovers. Played 47 of the 50 minutes in double overtime game. Scored six points with career-best five assists and five rebounds...
PRIOR TO LMU... Egbeyemi is from Lagos, Nigeria, and participated in a pair of NBA's Basketball Without Borders camps in Africa, earning MVP honors in 2008. He made his way to National Christian Academy (Washington D.C.) in October of that year, where he earned MVP honors in an east coast tournament. In the final 12 games of the season, he averaged 18.6 points in helping National Christian Academy to win the National Prep Basketball Championship. He was named preseason all-conference by the Washington Post for independent schools in the state of Maryland. In the summer of 2007 at just the age of 16, Egbeyemi played for the Nigeria U19 National Team at the FIBA U19 World Championships in Serbia...
PERSONAL... Ayodeji Egbeyemi was born in Lagos, Nigeria on July 16, 1990. He is the son of Jokotade and Niyi Egbeyemi... earned his Bachelor's in Business Administration in May of 2014 and is currently working on is MBA with the LMU business program.
