Played in 18 games and made three starts in his first year on the team after battling through a broken hand… Averaged 9.1 minutes per game… Scored 31 points for an average of 1.7 points per game… Grabbed 35 rebounds for an average of 1.9 boards per game… Added 11 assists, six steals, and four blocks… Shot 52.0 percent from the field (13-for-25)… Scored a season-high nine points on 4-for-6 shooting in the regular season finale at Portland (3/2/24)… Grabbed six rebounds in back-to-back games against San Diego (2/29/24) and Portland (3/2/24)… Finished the season with back-to-back games of season-high 21 minutes played against Portland both in the final game of the regular season (3/2/24) and in the West Coast Conference Tournament (3/8/24).
Prior to LMU
Aaron McBride was born in Irvine, Calif... Son of Alvin and Bessie McBride... Has one brother, Allan, who plays basketball at Azusa Pacific University... Played four season at Centennial High School, earning All-League and All-City as a sophomore, junior, and senior... Named All-State following his senior year... A proven winner, McBride's AAU Team WhyNot won the 16U EYBL Peach Jam championship in 2021. As a sophomore and junior at Centennial, he took home a pair of CIF Southern Section Open Division Championships and helped lead Centennial to the 2022 CIF Open Division State Championship, the first one in school history... As a senior for the CIF-Open Section Title, McBride hit the tying basket, then stole the ball and went three-quarter court to dunk at the buzzer to give the Huskies 58-56 win and their record third straight crown.
