High School... a 2008 graduate of Coronado High School in Henderson, Nev... earned two varsity letters for coach David Padilla... served as team captain in his senior year... named Team[apos]s Most Outstanding Athlete and Scholar Athlete as a junior... batted .430 with six home runs that season... garnered All-Conference and All-State honors as a senior... won Scholar Athlete and Big Stick Award after his senior campaign... holds the Coronado High School home run record... recruited by BYU, Santa Clara, UNLV and Cal State Northridge, but chose LMU because of the educational opportunities and the baseball program... valedictorian of his high school class...
