Biography

2025 SEASON (FRESHMAN, LMU)
JD Dunn appeared in 22 games for the Lions in 2025, making four starts. He contributed key offensive moments, including driving in an important insurance run against Tulane on February 21. Dunn had a standout performance at Long Beach State on March 18, going 3-for-4 with a double and a triple, adding two stolen bases and driving in a run. He displayed versatility across the field and provided timely contributions throughout the season.

2024 SEASON (RS-FRESHMAN, LMU)
In 2024, Dunn made seven appearances, debuting against Saint Louis on March 9. He made an immediate impact, hitting a home run and driving in four runs in his first game, earning WCC Freshman of the Week honors. Over the course of the season, he hit .292 with one home run, seven RBIs, nine runs scored, and successfully stole four of five bases.

HIGH SCHOOL
Dunn graduated from Damien High School in 2023, where he was a multi-positional player in the Baseline League, seeing time in the outfield, at second base, and at shortstop under head coach AJ Lamonda. He earned three varsity letters in baseball and was recognized as an All-League selection as a sophomore, junior, and senior. As a senior, he was named to the All-San Gabriel Valley Team. Dunn also played football as a wide receiver and safety under head coach Matt Bechtel and served as team captain as a freshman. He earned Offensive Player of the Year honors and competed in club baseball for the West Covina Dukes and Easton Prime.

PERSONAL
Dunn hails from Glendora, California, and is the son of Joy and Matt Dunn.

EXTRACURRICULARS & HONORS
He has volunteered at the Damien High School Middle School Baseball Camp and has been recognized as an honorary student in six subjects. He earned Theology 3 Student of the Year and received a scholarship award for his academic and athletic achievements.
