Tyler King joined the LMU Athletic Training staff in November 2020 and works primarily with baseball and men's water polo
Prior to joining LMU, Tyler spent two years with the Boston Red Sox organization as an Assistant Athletic Trainer, working full seasons in their minor league system in the Carolina League and Spring Training in Fort Myers, Florida. Tyler has a continuing relationship with USA Baseball and has provided Athletic Training services for events including the MLB Draft Combine, National Team Development Program, and Prospect Development Pipeline. He has other Athletic Training experience working for Cypress College, MLB Youth Academy and World Tens Rugby.
Tyler received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Health and Wellness from California State University, Chico in 2015. He then went on to receive his Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from Chapman University in 2018. Tyler has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association since 2016 and has been a nationally certified Athletic Trainer since 2018. He has certifications in Basic Life Support/AED, Myofascial Decompression Therapy, and Personalized Blood Flow Restriction Rehabilitation.
Tyler grew up in Thousand Oaks, CA and currently resides in Los Angeles.
