Anthony Soto returns to the Lions after redshirting his true freshman season... one of the Lions[apos] most improved players... a switch-hitter who can run and really chase balls down in the outfield... coaches expect him to contribute to the Lions[apos] success this season...

appeared in six games, recording two at-bats and a run scored... recorded two putouts as a late-game defensive replacement against Cal Poly... received a medical redshirt after breaking his wrist in practice...

a 2002 graduate of Venice High School in Venice, CA... earned three-varsity letters and captained team for his final two seasons... named All-Western League three times... also named All-Los Angeles for two years playing first base, the outfield, and pitching for Coach Tim Alcantar... also played quarterback and receiver on the football team, earning all-city and all-league...
