2025 SEASON (LMU)
Alex Chavez contributed to the Lions’ pitching staff throughout the 2025 season, appearing in relief across multiple games and logging 11.1 innings. He struck out 11 batters while allowing 17 hits and 18 runs, finishing the season with a 14.29 ERA. Chavez recorded several notable outings, including a scoreless inning against Seattle University to open the season, a one-inning relief win at San Francisco, and a multi-inning effort against UC Santa Barbara. Though he faced challenges in his first year competing at the Division I level, he showed promise and gained valuable experience in a variety of game situations.

HIGH SCHOOL
Chavez attended Orange Lutheran High School, where he was a four-year member of the baseball team in the highly competitive Trinity League under head coach Eric Borba. He served as team captain during his senior year and was recognized as Second Team Trinity League that same season. Chavez developed a reputation as a reliable and competitive pitcher throughout high school.

CLUB BASEBALL
Chavez played club baseball for CBA, gaining additional experience and exposure beyond his high school program. His time in club baseball helped him refine his pitching mechanics and compete against top-level talent in Southern California.

PERSONAL
Alex is the son of Danielle Beth Culver and Henry Chavez Jr., who played baseball at El Camino College. He has two siblings, Nicole and Cameron. Outside of baseball, Chavez is known for his dedication to both academics and athletics, balancing his responsibilities as a student and athlete.
