11 total blocks...her tournament performance also earned her WCC Player of the Week honors on September
14...an All-WCC second-team selection...finished fifth in the conference in hitting percentage (.327) and second in
block average (1.09 bpg)...recorded double figures in kills nine times throughout the season...tallied a season-high 17
kills against San Diego on November 6...accounted for five or more blocks, nine times...collected a season-best nine
blocks against Florida (Sept. 19) and a .750 attack percentage against Portland (Nov. 14)...earned the top spot
among LMU's all-time career leaders in block average (1.09) and ranks fifth among all-time season leaders...a WCC
all-academic team selection...1997...granted a redshirt season.
High School: Boller is a 1997 graduate of Hart High School in Newhall, CA...she played basketball, volleyball and
participated on the track and field team as a prep...a solid all-around athlete, she was named the Foothill League
Player of the Year in volleyball and basketball, and won the Foothill League high jump title during her senior
season...named to the Daily News All-Valley and Los Angeles Times All-Region first team in volleyball as a
senior...garnered All-CIF second-team and Los Angeles Times all-area first-team honors in basketball following her
senior campaign...named the CIF Scholar-Athlete of the Year and the Hart High School Female Athlete of the Year
in 1997...prep volleyball coach was Kevin Sather.
Personal: Candace Arlene Boller was born in Beverly Hills, CA on February 27, 1979...the daughter of Robert and
Karen Boller...she has one brother, Kyle and one sister, Casey...brother Kyle plays football for Univ. of
California-Berkeley...chose LMU for its location...also recruited by Ohio State, Oregon and San Diego State...enjoys
waterskiing and going to the beach...an education major with a minor in psychology.
