Briefly: Allison Gustorf begins her fourth year at LMU...the sister of sophomore, Laura...will serve as team captain...a fourth year starter...a very experienced complete player all around...has improved dramatically in the back row...possesses an unmatched work ethic...an intelligent middle blocker with the ability to really see the whole court...a quick and powerful jumper...has a variety of attacks...a very focused and hard-working player.

At LMU: Gustorf enters her fourth season in the Lions' program...1999...received All-WCC honorable mention accolades...played in all 108 games and 31 matches throughout the season...posted 28 kills, eight blocks and a .431 hitting percentage which earned her Most Valuable Player honors at the Dominos Pizza Classic...finished eighth in the conference with a .311 hitting percentage, seventh in service aces (0.31) and seventh in blocks (0.88)...had a season-best 13 kills while hitting an impressive .647 against Southeast Missouri (Sep. 3)...was second on the team with 232 kills on the year...is sixth on the career block average chart with 0.87 blocks per game...had a career-best against San Francisco (Nov. 20) dishing out five assists in the match...also set a new career mark of four service aces against Hawai'i (Sep. 24) and against UC Santa Barbara (Dec. 3)...led the team with 33 service aces and 25 solo blocks on the year...1998...played in 81 games and 25 matches during the season...served as team captain...collected 69 total blocks and 159 kills throughout the year...had seven consecutive powerful performances in mid-season (Sept. 19 - October 9), totaling 114 kills, 134 attacks and a .724 attack percentage...recorded a career-best 21 kills off of 41 attacks against Florida on September 19...set another personal-high against Pepperdine with nine blocks on October 24...1997...competed in 29 matches and 96 games on the season...named to the LMU*Furama Hotel Volleyball Classic all-tournament team...recorded a season-high seven total blocks and six block assists against Santa Clara on October 4...finished third on the team in attacks (458) and kills per game (2.11)...placed eighth among WCC leaders in hitting percentage (.279)...topped the LMU freshman record books in match-high attack percentage with .667 against Portland State (Sept. 12).

High School: Gustorf is a 1997 graduate of St. Mary's High School in Stockton, CA...earned three varsity letters in volleyball and basketball...led St. Mary's to the Division I volleyball state championships her sophomore, junior and senior seasons...named league co-MVP as a senior...named honorable mention All-America and a Fab-50 selection by Volleyball Magazine following her senior campaign...a two-time volleyball all-area selection and a first-team pick in 1997 by The (Stockton) Record...named to the state championship Division I all-tournament team and the Santa Barbara all-tournament team during her senior season...was named the Dale Lackey/CIF San Joaquin Scholar-Athlete of the Year in her final year...prep volleyball coach was Dodd Pinkham.

Personal: Allison Patricia Gustorf was born in Stockton, CA on March 7, 1979...the daughter of Jon and Pat Gustorf...she has one brother, Kevin, and two sisters, Elizabeth and Laura...her brother, Kevin, was a '98 LMU graduate and four-year baseball player...her sister, Elizabeth, ran cross country for four seasons at Gonzaga...currently, her sister, Laura, is also in the LMU volleyball program...she was also recruited by Georgia Tech and Notre Dame...enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends...a business administration major and communication studies minor.
