Briefly: Myka Peck begins her sophomore campaign at LMU...after
starting 16 games as a true freshman at center midfield for the
Lions, will be looked to as a solid starter again in 2000...a player
who is comfortable on the ball...possesses an excellent work ethic...has

freshman that scored a goal in her first game as a collegiate player
against Cal State Northridge in 4-0 win...that goal was the game winner
for the Lions...added an assist against Utah State on Oct. 8 and
finished the season with three points... as a young player, was not
afraid to make opportunities, placing 21 shots (10 on goal)...Her shot
total was tied for fifth on the team and shots on goal ranked her
tied for fourth...played in all 19 games for the Lions, starting in 16.
High School: Peck is a 1999 graduate of Bakersfield High School in
Bakersfield, CA...a four-year letterwinner in both soccer and tennis...a
four-time all-city and All-Southeast Yosemite League
selection...garnered Central Section CIF Player of the Year accolades
as a senior, and co-Player of the Year honors as a junior...led the
Central Section in scoring with 96 total points her last season...1998
squad won CIF Championship match in overtime after trailing 1-3...prep
coach was Leslie O'Conner. ..played with teammate Erica Florez.
Personal: Myka Carolyn Peck was born on June 30, 1981 in Bakersfield,
CA...the daughter of Stephen and Georgia Peck...has one sister, Tiler...her
father played football and baseball at California (1965-69)...also
recruited by USC, Fresno State and Pepperdine...was heavily involved in
high school student government and dance...enjoys being with her family
in her free time...major is undeclared.
