midfielder that will see time in the backfield in the Lions' proposed
4-3-3 set...has ability to solidify defense and speed to move in the
midfield position to provide an offensive push for the Lions.
High School: Cefalia was a four-year letter-winner in soccer at
Calvary Chapel High School in Costa Mesa...she graduated in
2000...was voted MVP her sophomore, junior and senior
seasons...played for coach Kelly Pierce at CCHS...named captain her
junior and senior years...three-year letter-winner in tennis...placed
first in league her junior season, third in her senior season and was
named MVP of the Olympic League in her senior season.
Personal: Jennifer Lynn Cefalia was born Nov. 23, 1981 in Newport
Beach, Calif...daughter of Cathy and James Cefalia...three brothers,
James (18), Jonathan (12) and Jeffrey (9)... she choose LMU because
"it seemed like the right school for me"...was also recruited by
Pepperdine and Georgetown.
