Briefly: Elizabeth Skhal begins her third year at LMU...a strong and
athletic player in the net...possesses great leaping ability...a fearless

Sharp, Skhal played in three games...playing 123 minutes, she made two
saves in the four shots she faced and allowed no goals...She earned 1.5
shutouts and earned a win in a 1-0 shutout over Cal State Fullerton
on Oct. 1
1998: ...suffered a broken hand early in the year and was
granted a redshirt season.
High School: Skhal is a 1998 graduate of Moorpark High School in
Moorpark, CA...a four-year letterwinner in both soccer and track and
field...named captain of her soccer squad her senior season...a
three-time All-Frontier League first-team selection...named the
league's MVP goalkeeper in 1997 and 1998...named team MVP (1998) and
Best Defensive Player (1995, 1996)...competed in the discus, shot put
and high jump in track and field...won league championship in discus
all four years...a league champion in shot put and high jump...prep
soccer coach was Tom Humphries.
Personal: Elizabeth Marie Skhal was born on January 12, 1980 in
Panorama City, CA...the daughter of Richard and Judith Skhal...has one
sister, Jennifer...enjoys playing the drums and hanging out at the
beach in her spare time...also considered San Jose State...chose LMU
because of its location and faculty-student ratio...a liberal arts
major who aspires to become a firefighter.
