Briefly:Nick Resich begins his third year at LMU team co-captain who
will work out of center back position...a workhorse who finds a way to
help the team win...impressed coaches as a sweeper during the spring
season.
At LMU:Resich enters his third season in the Lions' program...1999...saw
action in 18 games while making 17 starts...tallied four points on the
year with one goal and two assists...his lone goal of the season came
on Oct. 1 against UC Irvine...posted one assist on Sept. 1 in the
season opener against UC Irvine and again on Sept. 24 against Oregon
State...collected a total of seven shots on the year...1998...played in 17
games and made 10 starts during the season...finished tied for second
on the team with two assists...tied for fourth on the squad with 14
shots, including seven on-goal shots...collected one assist against
UCLA (Oct. 4) and Gonzaga (Nov. 6).
University of Indiana...Resich redshirted the 1997 season with the Hoosiers.
High School:Resich is a 1997 graduate of Peninsula High School in
Palos Verdes, CA...a two-year letterwinner...served as a team captain his
senior year...was an All-Bay League pick as a junior and senior
prep...named to the All-CIF first team as a senior, and second team as
a junior...an O.D.P. team member...also played two seasons of water
polo...prep soccer coach was Alan King.
Personal:Nicholas Robert Resich was born on July 24, 1979 in San
Pedro, CA...the son of John and Shirley Resich...has two sisters, Melissa
and Rebecca...father was a member of both the water polo and swim teams
at Cal Poly Pomona...before attending Indiana, was recruited by Santa
Clara and UCLA...lists "The Simpsons" as his favorite tv show...a
business major with plans to attend law school.
