Briefly:Spencer Reeves begins his fourth year at LMU will serve as
team co-captain...has developed into an aggressive player around the

At LMU:Reeves enters his senior season in the Lions' program...1999...saw
action in 18 games while starting in 14...set new career bests in
shots, goals, assists and points...finished tied for first on the team
in assists (6) and second in points (12)...had a season best one goal
and one assist in LMU's 5-0 win over St. Mary's (Nov. 5)...tied for
fifth on the all-time assists chart with eight...his six assists places
him tied for third on LMU's single-season assists list and sixth
among WCC leaders for the year...1998...played in 12 games, starting in
seven...collected an assist against UNLV on Sept. 25...missed several
games due to an injury...averaged 0.5 shots per game and accumulated
a .550 on-goal shooting percentage...1997... played in 14 games as a
freshman, starting in two...totalled seven shots on goal through the
season...finished with three points, scoring one goal in the team's 3-2
win at home over UNLV (Sept. 28)...assisted the team's only score in
its 6-1 loss at Cal State Northridge (Nov. 15).
High School:Reeves is a 1997 graduate of Ellensburg High School in
Ellensburg, WA...a four-year letterwinner in both soccer and
wrestling...a three-year first-team All-Mid Valley League selection in
soccer...served as team captain for three seasons...honored as the team
MVP as a sophomore, junior and senior...an all-region team
selection...prep soccer coach was Jim McDermott.
Personal:John Spencer Reeves was born on July 20, 1978 in Ellensburg,
WA...the son of Scot and Katherine Reeves...has two brothers, Gage and
Sy...brother, Sy, is currently a member of the men's soccer team at San
Diego...also recruited by Gonzaga...spent the summer as a soccer camp
instructor...also enjoys snowboarding...a business major.
