Briefly:Jerad Bailey begins his fourth year at LMU a solid keeper

At LMU:Bailey enters his senior season in the Lions' program...1999...set
a new LMU mark for career shutouts with 10 throughout his last three
seasons...played in 17 games and made 11 starts...collected two shutouts
and accumulated 74 saves throughout the year...held No.23 California
scoreless through 90 minutes...posted a GAA of 2.05...placed second in
the WCC in saves (74)...his 4.35 saves-per-game placed him third among
conference leaders...1998...played in 17 games, making 16
starts...broke his own single-season goals against average record
with a mark of 1.53...moved into first place among LMU's all-time GAA
leaders (1.56)...collected four shutouts and 68 saves...accounted for
13 saves against UCLA on Oct. 4...held San Francisco scoreless for
120 minutes in a 0-0 tie on Oct. 18...posted a record of
4-10-1...1997...posted a team-leading 13 starts in goal...registered the
lowest goals against average of any goalie in school history in a
single season (1.59)...recorded 61 saves on the year, 17 in conference
action...completed the season allowing just 22 goals...tallied four
shutouts on the season, just 1.5 shy of the single-season school
record...posted his first career shutout at home against San Diego
State (Aug. 31)...completed his freshman campaign with a 5-7-1 overall
record.
High School:Bailey is a 1997 graduate of Redlands High School in
Redlands, CA...a three-year letterwinner in both soccer and
tennis...garnered MVP and All-San Bernardino County honors following
his senior campaign...a 1997 all-city selection...served as team
captain...prep coaches were Brett Baker and Polando Uribe.
Personal:Jerad Ashton Bailey was born on October 11, 1979 in San
Bernardino, CA...the son of Joseph and Joy Bailey...has three brothers,
Joseph, Jon and Jordan, and one sister, Jana...also recruited by UC
Irvine, UCLA and California...enjoys reading in his spare time...a
business major.
