LMU Cancels All Athletic Events

Los Angeles, Calif. (September 12, 2001)-- Due to the national tragedy, Loyola Marymount has cancelled all home and road events through Sunday, Sept. 16. At this point, none of the events will be rescheduled.

Here is a list of events cancelled:

Wed., Sept. 12 Men's Water Polo vs. BYU-Hawaii
Thur., Sept. 13 Women's Volleyball vs. BYU (at Honolulu, HI)
Fri., Sept. 14 Women's Volleyball at Hawaii
Fri., Sept. 14 Women's Soccer - USC vs. Wake Forest (Fila Cup Tournament at LMU)
Fri., Sept. 14 Women's Soccer - LMU vs. Kentucky (Fila Cup Tournament at LMU)
Sat., Sept. 15 Cross Country at Aztec Invitational
Sat., Sept. 15 Men's Golf at Yale Invitational
Sat., Sept. 15 Men's Water Polo - LMU Invitational (All Games)
Sat. Sept. 15 Men's Soccer at Wisconsin-Green Bay
Sun., Sept. 16 Men's Golf at Yale Invitational
Sun., Sept. 16 Men's Water Polo - LMU Invitational (All Games)
Sun., Sept. 16 Women's Soccer - USC vs. Kentucky (Fila Cup Tournament at LMU)
Sun., Sept. 16 Women's Soccer - LMU vs. Wake Forest (Fila Cup Tournament at LMU)
Sun., Sept. 16 Men's Soccer vs. Illinois-Chicago (at Green Bay, WI)

The normal schedules will resume with the men's soccer program taking on UC Riverside on the road at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18. The women's volleyball team will also host San Diego State at Gersten Pavilion at 6:00 p.m. that day.
