IN 2018-19 • SOPHOMORE... One of three players to play all 34 games, tying the program record for most games played in a single season… Started a career-high 14 games… Hit the double digit scoring mark four times, all in wins: 13 points against CSUN (11/13/18), 11 points against Brown in the College Basketball Invitational (3/25/19), 10 points against Santa Clara in conference (2/28/19), and 10 points against Bethesda (11/29/18)… Set a career high with four steals in the win over Florida A&M (11/24/18)… Set a career high with four steals at #5 Gonzaga (1/17/19).
 
IN 2017-18 • FRESHMAN... Played in all 31 games as a freshman, making 11 starts on the year... Finished the season averaging 6.5 points per game, 3.5 rebounds per game, and 17.4 minutes per game... Shot 53.1 percent from the field, second-best on the team among players with more than one game... Totaled eight games in double-digit scoring... Scored a career-high 17 points on 6-for-9 shooting in the regular-season finale to defeat Pacific (2/24/18)... Tied LMU's WCC Tournament record after going 2-for-2 from three in the quarterfinals against #7 Gonzaga (3/3/18)... Corralled a career-high eight rebounds at Washington (12/17/18)... Recorded two steals in the WCC Tournament opening round win over Portland (3/2/18)... Blocked two shots in the win over Cal State Fullerton (12/22/17).

BEFORE LMU... Williams graduated from Long Beach Poly High School in 2017... Served as captain his junior and senior seasons and was all-league and all-region as a sophomore, junior, and senior... Won the CIF title as a freshman... Played for Compton Magic and Earl Watson Elite.

PERSONAL... Zafir Williams was born in Long Beach, Calif., and is the son of Njemila and Lumumba Williams... Has a younger sister, Nala... Majoring in communications.
