Briefly
Enters his second season with the Lions...successfully defeated a battle with throat cancer last year...coaches have respect for him and how he has handled this situaton...a courageous young man, he continues to improve his strength, which is vastly improved...great jumps on the base paths...covers a lot of ground...great base runner...getting back into the grove of playing baseball...getting more comfortable at the plate...will compete for the centerfield job...will be an inspirational leader for the team.
2000 Season Notes
The sophomore transfer from San Mateo Junior College appeared in 26 games for the Lions...finished 5-for-8 in a pinch hitting role with five runs scored, one double and two RBI... finished with a .625 batting average...best game came against Saint Mary's in the 30-run out burst...Milton finished 2-for-2 with three runs scored, a double and an RBI...did not play in Regionals.
High School
A 1998 graduate of Homestead High School in Cupertino, CA...was a two-sport athlete participating in baseball and basketball...earned six varsity letters, four in baseball and two in basketball...captained both squads...was an all-city pick his junior and senior year in baseball...earned All-Santa Clara Valley first-team honors as a junior and senior...hit .372 with five home runs and 38 RBIs in his final seasons...stole 37 bases as a senior prep...was a first-team All-Santa Clara Valley selection his junior and senior year in basketball...averaged 10.9 points and 5.3 assists per game.

Kayzell Earl Milton was born September 11, 1979 in Mountain View, CA...he is the son of Claudette Polk and Greg Milton...is an only child...was recruited by Pepperdine, San Francisco, San Jose State and USC...majoring in film and television production.
