Breifly
Enters his fourth and final season with the Lions' program...has developed into a mature pitcher during his career and will compete as a starter this season...leadership role will be crucial with three championships at LMU under his belt...must provide solid outings and pick up wins this year with a young starting rotation...one of coach Cruz's top recruits three years ago and has developed into a consistent pitcher for the program...fast ball to challenge hitters is his top pitch...also throws an effective change and breaking ball...will need to continue work on keeping ball down.

2000 Season Notes
The junior finished the season with a 6-3 mark, the fourth most wins on the team...in 18 appearances, started four games...finished the regular season with 34.0 innings of work...Was sixth on the squad with 22 KOs, while walking only 13...gave up four home runs, a triple and 13 walks as opponents were .345 against the RHP...he finished with a 6.09 ERA...allowed 49 hits and 23 earned runs...earned first win of season in two innings of relief work against California on Feb. 6...held the Bears hitless in the Lions 9-6 win...earned a 5-4 win over UCLA coming on in relief and holding on to the lead...in a start against Cal State LA, Felten picked up a 16-3 win, pitching five innings, allowing seven hits and two runs...in start against Long Beach State, went five innings and earned a 10-4 win...against Long Beach went scoreless as he struck out three and allowed only four hits...In a tough 7-3 loss to USC, he allowed five runs in three innings of work...did not pitch in Regionals.

1999 Season Notes
Finished third on the team with 21 appearances, 16 in relief...was second on the team with four saves and led the Lions with a .667 winning percentage (4-2)...his 212 at-bats faced was the fourth highest mark on the team...had 39 strikeouts in 49.2 innings of work for a ratio of 7.06 Ks per nine innings...suffered a loss in a start against Nevada, pitching 3.1 innings and allowing three hits, three walks, and five runs...won his first game of the season against Oregon State where he pitched 5.2 innings (his 3rd start of the season) and struck out four...tossed 2.1 innings of relief, scattering five hits and striking out two in an 8-6 win over Pepperdine (his first of three this year) on 4-17-99...pitched just two-thirds of an inning and picked up his second win over Pepperdine this season (4-18-99)...won his third straight game over Pepperdine after pitching 2.2 innings of relief in Game 1 of the WCC Championship series (improved to 4-2 on the year)...did not play in the regionals.

1998 Regional Notes
Started game three against Alabama, pitching 5.1 innings and suffered the loss...allowed 12 hits, nine runs (eight earned) and gave up four home runs.

Named All-WCC Honorable Mention...appeared in 17 games, 12 of those as the starting pitcher...finished the season with an 8-3 record...second on the team with 54 strikeouts and 2.7 walks per nine innings...third on the team with 88.2 innings pitched and two complete games...tossed his first complete game vs. Cal State Northridge (Feb. 25), giving up just three earned runs while scattering eight hits...gave up four runs and eight hits while striking out seven during his second complete game of the year (at San Francisco, Apr. 19)...went 4-1 and pitched at least five innings during his last six starts...registered a career high 10 strikeouts during 7.0 innings of work against Saint Mary's (May 3).
