Returns for his fourth and final season for the Lions...will see significant playing time at second base for the Lions...has improved every year defensively and is one of the more solid infielders for the Lions...has great sense on the base paths, and will be key to the run production...worked hard in the off season to get stronger in the weight room...can do many things offensively in the short game...smart hitter that works the count well...will be an important part of the offense...was a part of the Lions' last three conference championships and will be looked to for leadership.

Played in 17 games in 2000...collected five hits in 14 at-bats the regular season (.357)...scored eight runs on the season and two RBI...drew three walks in 21 plate appearances...on March 11 against San Francisco, he went 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored.

Played in 29 games, starting in 17...collected 11 hits in 50 at-bats during the regular season (.220)...drew 11 walks in just 66 plate appearances...had a .381 on-base percentage...led the Lions with five sacrafice bunts...hit a 2 RBI triple in the 6th inning to break a 3-3 tie and led LMU to a 6-3 win at Gonzaga (4-24-99)...went 2-for-5 with two RBI in that game...was lost for nearly a month after injuring his shoulder at Gonzaga (4-25-99)...suffered the injury after colliding with LF Kris Zacuto chasing a shallow fly ball in left field...he returned against Pepperdine in the WCC Championship series.

A 1997 graduate of La Mirada High School...was a two-sport athlete participating in football and baseball...earned seven varsity letters, three in football as a wide receiver/defensive back, and four as a shortstop on the baseball team...earned all-city and all-conference honors as a junior and senior prep in both sports...was a member of the CIF baseball championship team as a junior...prep coach was his father, Kim Brooks.
