Briefly
The transfer from Santa Ana Junior College will be a key to the Lions 2001 season...in his first season at LMU, is one of the Lions' most versatile players on the roster...will see playing time throughout the line-up...competeing to be one of the Lions' top three starters on the mound...a lefty in the pitching rotation...will also see time in the outfield in center or left and will possibly be platooned at first base...has a good swing that has the ability to produce power...improved swing during fall...a good arm that bounces back quickly...very knowledgeable of the game...should be in line-up everyday for the Lions.

Santa Ana Junior College
Played two seasons for Santa Ana Junior College in the Orange Empire Conference...sophomore season saw him take home most top honors...was selected first-team All-America, first-team all-conference...was voted team MVP and California Player of the Year in 2000...played for coach Don Sneddon and Santa Ana Junior College...

High School
Graduated from Fountain Valley High School in May of 1998 with a 3.4 grade point average...was a varsity letterwinner in baseball for coach Ron LaRuffa his junior and senior seasons...was first team all-conference his senior season and participated in the 1998 Orange County North/South All-Star Game...versatile player for Fountain Valley, starting as a pitcher, outfielder and first baseman in his tenure in high school.

Christopher John Wilson (C.J.) was born November 18, 1980 in Newport Beach, Calif...he is the son of William and Lisa Wilson...a Screenwriting major...has a younger brother, Ryan...his uncle, Greg Frederick played golf at Arizona State and went onto the PGA Tour...came to LMU because of baseball and academic reputation...was recruited by schools in the Pac-10 and Big 12 prior to transferring to LMU...competed against Chad Lindholm in high school.
