LOS ANGELES – Head Coach
Stan Johnson has announced the signing on 6'10 forward Josh Dalton ahead of the 2025-26 season. Dalton enters LMU as an incoming freshman after previously playing at Golden State Prep.
"Josh is an impressive young man," said Johnson. "His talent speaks for itself, but his character is what makes him special. He is a young player with great things in store. For Someone who has only been playing the game for about 4 years his skill set is off the charts. At this point there is no telling how good he could be. His potential is limitless. His ability to shoot and handle the ball for his size makes him special. I believe he will be a tremendous rebounder and competitor. I love that Josh is a Lion."
Dalton is coming to Los Angeles from Concord, NC, after spending the previous season in Napa, Calif. Dalton can play both the power forward position and stretch wing position with high upside both the offensive and defensive ends of the court.
"I chose LMU because from the jump, I felt wanted by the whole coaching staff," said Dalton. "They were so amazing, and they are great coaches with integrity, and I know they will push me to be great. LMU is a place I know God has sent me to grow as a man off and on the court. Truly a blessing to be a part of this team! I'm looking to making the TOURNAMENT!"
Dalton joins a recruiting class from the Lions that features one other incoming freshman, AJ Thomas, and four college transfers to date.
