COLLEGE STATION, TX – It was rough for the Lions on the road, falling to the No. 5 Texas A&M Aggies, 12-0.

The Lions got a leadoff single from Justine Lambert in the first but couldn't take advantage as three straight strikeouts left her stranded. 

TAMU wasted no time responding, plating three runs in the bottom of the inning thanks to a couple of singles and a bases-loaded walk.

Offensive struggles plagued the Lions, with Lambert providing the team's only two hits of the game. 

Meanwhile, TAMU kept the pressure on, blasting solo home runs in the second inning, one off starter Jessica Hubbard and another after Lindsay O'Dell took over in relief. The Aggies added three more runs in the third, stretching their lead to 8-0.

The Lions' defense had some solid moments, with Arianna Jaurequi making a couple of tough plays, but TAMU wasn't slowing down. 

A four-run fourth inning all but sealed the deal, and LMU couldn't extend the game in the fifth as they went down in order to end it.

LMU looks to bounce back on April 5 when they take on Oregon State in the opening weekend of WCC play.
