LOS ANGELES – LMU's
Abel Romero Corbalan has been named an ACWPC Men's Water Polo All-America Honorable Mention selections for the first time in his LMU careers.
Romero Corbalan finished fifth in the West Coast Conference and led the Lions with 73 goals on the season. He ranked in the top-10 in the conference and led the team with 98 total points.
Once conference play began, Romero Corbalan increased his scoring average to a WCC-best 4.3 goals per game and 5.5 points per game.
The Spaniard become the 24
th different player to earn All-American honors under previous Head Coach
John Loughran to put an exclamation point on his career. Overall, Loughran's Lions have received All-American honors 43 times.
The ACWPC All-America teams are selected based on nominations and voting by the head coach of each program by National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division (Division I, II, III).
