LOS ANGELES— The WCC has announced its Player of the Week honors, with Sam Hastings earning Defensive Player of the Week and Paige Flickinger receiving Offensive Player of the Week. This is the second Player of the Week recognition for Hastings and Flickinger this season.

Hastings finished the week totaling 36 digs and 29 service receptions with an impressive .966 reception percentage. In the conference home opener against the Tigers, she led all players with 19 digs, averaging 4.75 per set, and posted a .917 reception percentage. She followed that up with another dominant performance against the Gaels, recording 17 digs to lead both teams again while achieving a flawless 1.000 reception percentage with zero errors.

Flickinger had another outstanding week, finishing with 31 kills with an average of 3.88 per set and 35 points, averaging 4.4 points per set. In the victory over the Tigers, she led the Lions in kills with 14 and contributed 16.5 points, averaging 4.1 points per set. In the road win against the Gaels, Flickinger once again delivered a double-digit kill performance with 17 kills, leading both teams and earning 18.5 points, averaging 4.6 points per set.
