LOS ANGELES – LMU men's basketball head coach
Stan Johnson has signed Caleb Stone-Carrawell ahead of the 2024-25 season. Stone-Carrawell will join the Lions as a sixth-year forward with Division I experience at Charlotte, Austin Peay, and Utah Valley.
"Caleb brings incredible versatility to our program," said Johnson. "His ability to play all over the floor will add another dimension to our team. His length, ball skills, and pace is off the charts. He's a big-time student of the game, and I believe his best basketball is ahead of him. I'm really proud that he decided to be a part of our program, and I am looking forward to coaching him. He comes from a winning family."
Stone-Carrawell is a proven scorer from the wing position, scoring 788 points at a 41.8 field goal percentage in 84 games. Stone-Carrawell averaged over 11 points per game in 2021-22 with the Governors and this past season with the Wolverines.
Stone-Carrawell played his high school ball at Cox Mills High School where he earned multiple all-conference honors and won a pair of North Carolina State titles in 2017 and 2018. He was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player as a junior after an 18-point performance in the state championship game. He was invited to the 2019 Carolinas Classic All-State game and was named one of the top-20 senior basketball players in North Carolina. On the amateur circuit, he played AAU for Team United and PSB Elite.
"I'm excited to get to work and be a part of something great," said Stone-Carrawell.
Assistant Coach
Louis Wilson coached Stone-Carrawell last season in Orem, Utah while with Utah Valley.
Caleb Stone-Carrawell is the son of former NBA First Round Draft Pick and Duke Blue Devil Legend Chris Carrawell. Both Carawell and Johnson coached at Marquette together from 2015-2017.
