San Jose State took an early lead with a first-inning home run, gaining a three-run advantage. However, LMU quickly countered as
Arianna Jaurequi's solo homer narrowed the gap to two.

LMU's momentum furthered as
Mika Chong singled to second base, swiftly followed by a stolen base.
Izzy Jamgotchian's followed singling up the middle and brought Chong home, closing the inning with the score at 3-2.

Even though the Spartans added three more runs in the second inning, LMU refused to relent.
Jenna Perez's entry in the third inning was pivotal, holding San Jose State at bay with stellar pitching.

The Lions clawed their way back, with
Lauryn Carter and Sakora Harvel contributing crucial runs, trimming the Spartans' lead to 6-4.

In a decisive fifth inning, LMU surged ahead, scoring five runs to seize a 9-6 lead. Although San Jose State managed a late home run, LMU maintained their composure, adding two more runs in the bottom of the inning to seal the victory at 11-8.

Chong and Harvel led LMU's offensive charge with three RBIs each, while Chong also topped the charts with three hits alongside Jaurequi.
Hayley Olivas showcased defensive skills with five assists, with
Adele Braun contributing nine put-outs.
