Â
The game's momentum shifted in the third inning when UCLA executed a precise single through the left side, allowing a Bruin to dash back to home plate, giving them a 2-0 lead. The Bruins continued their offensive skills in the fourth inning, doubling their lead by sending another player home.

With hopes of halting the Bruins momentum,
Alessandra Samperio took over for O'Dell on the mound. Unfortunately, UCLA persisted, adding another run and ultimately sealing the deal with a powerful home run, extending their lead to 8-0 and clinching the victory.
Â
