SEATTLE – The LMU men's soccer team fell to Washington 2-0 on Monday night at Husky Soccer Stadium in Seattle, Wash.
Ky Mani Dade was forced into action early on in the first half and ended up recording four first half saves.
The lone goal of the opening period came after a missed clearance. Washington's Charlie Kosakoff pounced on the loose ball and fired past Dade for the opening tally.
The Huskies scored shortly after the second half began to mark the final tally.
The Lions' best scoring opportunity came in the aftermath of the second goal. Alejandro Fuentesal-Atalaya found some space outside of the box and drove a low, driven shot that looked destined for the far post that was denied at the last second for a corner kick.
Tyler Trusner unleashed a wicked dipping shot in the 56th minute that was smothered by the scrambling keeper.
The Lions are back at home on Saturday, October 26 as they host San Francisco in a WCC matchup. The match will begin at 7:00 p.m. (PT) with tickets available at LMULions.com.
