LAS VEGAS – The Lions baseball team fell to Portland 15-3 on Friday afternoon at Las Vegas Ballpark in an elimination game at the West Coast Conference Tournament. Â
Â
The Lions struggled to find an offensive rhythm and were in a huge hole by the time they pushed a run across.Â
Â
The Lions faced the Pilots for the fourth time this season after sweeping them in Portland, Ore. earlier this season. Â
Â
Â
The other run came on a Dylan Dennis fly ball. Biller was initially ruled out on the play, but after reviewing the play it was deemed that he touched the plate before he was tagged.Â

The Lions will wrap up the season after a phenomenal regular season. They recorded two wins against top-25 opponents and won the WCC Regular Season outright by four games. Â
Â
The Lions were led by WCC Freshman of the Year Khadim Diaw on offense and graduate student Diego Barrera on the mound as they locked up the first outright title in 25 years. Â
