Diverse: Issues In Higher Education magazine announced the 2023 Arthur Ashe Jr. individual sport winners across each category.

Cassie Chinn and LMU men's golf's
Riley Lewis received the recognition as the winners for their individual sports.
Chinn is in her fourth season competing for the three-time reigning WCC Champions and top-10 nationally ranked Lions. Lewis won the Individual Title at the West Coast Conference Championships as a sophomore and is in his third season on the Bluff.
As the name denotes, the annual Ashe edition is part of the over a quarter-century legacy of recognizing outstanding, young minority men and women who have distinguished themselves in their academic and athletic pursuits.
In addition to their athletic ability, students named
Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholars must maintain at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, be at least a sophomore academically, and be active on their campuses or in their communities.
