No. 13 Zags Even Season Series

LOS ANGELES – No. 13 Gonzaga put together a complete performance in Thursday night's 108-65 win over LMU.
 
The two teams traded opening field goals as Keli Leauepepe and Justin Ahrens each had an initial response to Gonzaga baskets. The Bulldogs then scored the next 20 unanswered after opening the game 14-for-16 from the field. Jalin Anderson put an end to the run with a floater in the lane. Reigning WCC Player of the Week Cam Shelton scored LMU's final six points of the half nine of the final 11 before the first half buzzer. Shelton led the team with 15 points.
 
Gonzaga's sharpshooting continued as the visitors shot 71.1 percent (27-for-38) from the field, 77.8 percent (7-for-9) from three, and perfect from the free throw line to carry a 68-28 halftime lead.
 
The Lions scored eight of the first 12 points coming out of the locker room as Leaupepe knocked down a pair of threes and Rick Issanza dunked the rock. Leaupepe scored 13 points.
 
Kwane Marble II scored seven points in a personal 7-2 run midway through the period. Marble finished in double-figures with 10 points.
 
James Nobles knocked down his second three in as many games and finished with a career-high five points.
 
In the closing seconds, Michael Graham dunked to finish with six points and a game-high eight rebounds.
 
LMU's final home game is set for Saturday with the Lions taking on Pacific Saturday at Gersten Pavilion. The 7:00 PM game will begin with a special ceremony to recognize the contributions of the senior class.
